Mike Preston Guest Feedback

Over the years I have spent a lot of time at Bamba Zonke during my frequent trips to South Africa and watched it grow from little more than a plot to the fully fledged guest farm that it now is. It’s always been a very special place, a haven of tranquility about an hour up the West Coast highway from Cape Town, half that from the Atlantic suburbs. It’s a place to enjoy the silence of the African bush, the nearby beach, or places of interest in the area, but best of all, to do nothing except relax, braai, and enjoy the company of friends around the bars, one indoor, one outdoor, or even just being alone. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable with private facilities, and there’s a fully equipped kitchen with a massive open fireplace and an indoor braai, generally the social centre of any gathering at Bamba Zonke.

For those who don’t want to cater for themselves, there are several restaurants in Yzerfontein and nearby, just a few minutes away. Further afield, Langebaan, Darling, the home of Piter Dirk Uys, and Veldrif are all worth visiting, and the farm is also an excellent base for touring the beautiful Riebeek Valley, Ceres, Tulbagh, and surrounding areas.

Please don’t put my email address, and I don’t have a Facebook or any other social media account.

Neil has put a huge amount of hard work, time, and money into building up the farm and turned it into an ideal place to unwind, relax, and enjoy nature.
